Steamboat Resort has miles of Downhill and Cross Country bike trails to explore. The Steamboat Bike Park features nearly 2,200 vertical feet of lift-served, gravity-fed, downhill flow trails. The park utilizes the resort’s natural features and man-made jumps; providing terrain for all ability levels. The Resort also offers miles of Cross Country trails that are free to use. Take a ride up Mt. Werner and enjoy the views that can only be appreciated from Steamboat's new eight-passenger gondola. The Gondola is open daily to foot passengers, weather permitting and is scheduled to open mid-June. Make sure to hike around when you get up top or enjoy a cold beverage from the sundeck at the top of the Gondola building.
Need to cool off on a hot Steamboat summer day? Take the entire family up the the Burgess Creek Beach at the base of the ski area. Burgess Creek runs down from the mountain and into the base area offering a great cool off spot. Grab a red chair on the sandy beach and watch the kids play amongst the rocks and wading pools. Make sure to pack a picnic for lunch or grab a snack & drink from the Taco Beast. And don’t forget the sand toys!
