Blackhawk 18

A group of five stayed at Blackhawk 18 for our first ever visit to Steamboat. The condo was exactly the same as featured in the photographs and had a very modern, loft feel but was still quite comfortable. It was quite close to the base of the mountain but we utilized the incredibly easy and free shuttle service provided by Steamboat Lodging each morning and afternoon for skiing. Every one of the shuttle drivers was friendly and helpful. The app they provide is easy to use and we never had to wait more than ten minutes for a ride either to the mountain or downtown for dinner. The location was one block away from the Wild Plum grocery store and the Apres restaurant which had great burgers and beers. You can order pizzas from the Wild Plum and pick up convenience items as well as delicious breakfast sandwiches. The home also has its own washer and dryer and hot tub which faces the mountains and is a lovely feature at the end of a day of skiing. The only caveat, and for some a big one, is that there are a LOT of stairs. The master bedroom is on the fourth floor (along with the hot tub) and the other bedrooms are three stories up from the entrance. This is important to consider after skiing all day as well as lugging luggage up and down the stairs. While it wasn't a deal breaker, for many, this might not be ideal. Finally, there is a heated garage. While we didn't have a car, it kept our ski boots and equipment warm and dry each evening. Steamboat Lodging Company was great to work with and the extra bonuses of discounted tickets, free shuttles and discounted ski rentals was the icing on the cake. They have an excellent selection of properties. I would definitely stay here again if we return to Steamboat.

We had a wonderful stay at Blackhawk 18. Only a 10 min walk to slopes The accommodation was great It had everything we needed. There were 2 minor issues that were taken care of immediately!! Communication with staff was great. The shuttle service is great! This is our second year staying here and it’s the place we will return! Great for a family trip! Margaret and Jill were great!

We really enjoyed the location and feel of the property. Easy walk to the Resort base for hikes and gondola rides. Town of Steamboat also not far and we really loved the shops and restaurants there. Thanks to the lodging folks for making it a lovely stay!

Great location- 10 minute walk to slope- very convenient. Room was awesome. There were no issues at anytime and the shuttle was great.

We enjoyed everything about Blackhawk 18. It was perfect for 10 people. Rooms were great and we had everything we needed upon arrival. It is a 10 min walk to slopes. Shuttle is great to go around town. We have never stayed in a rental that had no issues …this one had none! Our entire family enjoyed this trip and can’t wait to come back. Thank y’all for making this trip one to remember. It was great to have a private hot tub at the end of the day as well!

Beautiful house, comfortable and clean. two minor issues; the fridge filter needs to be replaced, it takes forever to fill a glass. And the dining room chairs; omg everyone stubbed their toe at least once lol. overall we had a fabulous time.

Hi, everything was wonderful. We are definitely coming back. The only thing I would suggest is to get some new pots and pans. We like to cook and the pots and fry pans - the coating was coming off and scratched so probably not all that safe. They could also provide a small saucepan. That was really the only thing. Otherwise, loved it for sure. Thanks, Julia

Our family stayed at this beautiful condo for our annual winter ski trip. It was amazing! The beds were super comfortable, we loved the private area hot tub on the upper level and the location cannot be beat. We were only two blocks from the base and a few mornings walked over to the resort. We loved having the small grocery and liquor store a few blocks down to grab a few things we needed during our stay. We also did a lot of cooking and loved this kitchen. We had an issue with the coffee maker our second morning, but Beck from the Steamboat Lodging Company staff dropped a new one off to us. Thank you for a great stay!

Blackhawk 18 is not your typical "mountain style" vacation home, but it's amazing. It's built like an NYC loft and is decked out in the coolest furniture & decor. We stayed in late February for a friends ski trip and loved it. Everything was sparkling clean and the open living space was perfect for us to watch TV, cook dinner, etc. Each couple had their own room & bathroom and the pinnacle is the ultra-private rooftop hot tub. You can even see the mountain from here! The owners have great taste in design and we loved the unique art in the home. We walked to the Resort every day, although shuttle service was provided. There's also a small grocery/liquor store less than a block away and restaurants across the street from it. We had a small issue getting into the attached garage, but Steamboat Lodging Company came by within 15 minutes to get it fixed. Overall, stay here, you'll love it!
